Praying for Muslim neighbours on Leilat El Qadr (by a friend and colleague raised within the tradition)

"Please Join us in prayer for visions and dreams for the Muslim world on Leilat El Qadr

As most of you know, Laylat al-Qadr (variously rendered in English as the Night of Decree, Night of Power, Night of Value, Night of Destiny, or Night of Measures) is in Islamic belief the night when the first verses of the Quran were revealed to the prophet Muhammad. This is a significant night for our Muslim friends and neighbors as they believe that this night is better than 1000 months of worship. Muslims believe that on this night, the blessings and mercy of Allah is abundant, sins are forgiven, supplications are accepted, and that the annual decree is revealed to the angels who also descend to earth. (Thank you Wikipedia for this eloquent description :-) )

Added to that, the fact that all Muslims believe that the only way that God speaks to people is through dreams and visions, then this night becomes even more important, as they believe any visions or dreams received during this night are the most important things that God can say to you...

Laylat al-Qadar is the highpoint of Ramadan. So many will be spending some focused time in prayer, worship and intercession this night, focusing on our country and the rest of the Muslim world in anticipation of all we trust God for during this time. Please join us and many around the world...

· Please pray for Muslims all over the world to have an experience of God. Pray for HIS Dreams and Visions and experiences, revealing who HE truly is...
· Please pray for boldness and courage for those receiving dreams and visions to step out in what they See and Hear God say.
· Please pray for us and all those that are standing in the gap and interceding for the lost, that we will pray and speak only God's words and His will, that we will have abundant strength, energy, endurance and perseverance and that God's protection will be over all of us .

Let us "Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." (1 Thess 5:16-18).

Thank you everyone! May God truly bless you and your loved ones during these significant times in our history.

Blessings,
... on behalf of the Year of Prayer Team
